Well....I finally finished my Itsy, Bitsy, Teeny, Weeny, Fairy Carousel Giraffy! His name is Ayana...which means "Beautiful Flower" in Ethiopian. This little fellow provides a ride through a fantasy garden for his butterfly friends. He is made from sculpy clay and epoxy, worked over a wire and foil armature. Each flower, butterfly, and his little leaf saddle were crafted, applied and painted by hand...I did not use any molds for these. He stands 11 inches tall, is 8 inches long and is 4 1/2 inches at his widest. (I will be putting him onto a nice wooden base) Ayana is my first attempt at sculpting and he does NOT have the fine finished look of porcelain...he looks like what he is...a One Of A Kind hand sculpted piece. I would love to hear what you think of him..Ayana is SOLD but I DO take commissions
REVISED: changed photo as I got Ayana mounted on his wooden base.

Thanks He took a very long time as each flower was made individually. I would say upwards of forty hours.
